Google has announced 'Friend Connect', a new initiative that will allow website owners and bloggers to engage social communities easily and quickly through a 'snippet of code' on their blog or website.The announcement also included a link to Friend Connect (which is now live).
"There's an emerging wave of social standards -- OpenID, OAuth, OpenSocial, and the data access APIs published by Facebook, Google, MySpace, and others. Google Friend Connect builds on these standards" .
